Question: What is the red dot in the eye?

This morning I noticed a bright red spot on the white part of the eye. I remember not scratch the eye and not hurt at all. What is?

Answer: The red dot you see is likely to open a small blood vessel overnight. In medical terms, this is called a Hyposphagma. The small blood vessels under the conjunctiva, the clear coat, the sclera, the, the white of the eye covered.

A complete eye examination is usually justified, to other diseases or trauma to the eye tissue. Treatment involves medical assessment and security will disappear, usually within a week. If bleeding is significant, it can be a little more than a week, and turn a yellowish bruise type before it disappears. Artificial tears are sometimes advised to keep the eye comfortable in the event of an increase in tissue due to increased bleeding.
